Terminal sessions can be detached and resumed with a newer dtach implementation. It is useful when users need persistent command-line programs without the overhead of a full multiplexer.
Detached commands continue running with your permissions. Protect socket paths and avoid detaching sessions that expose passwords, shells, or private data.
