Captures video and audio from OpenGL programs for people who need recordings of games, demos, benchmarks or visual applications. It combines OpenGL frame capture with ALSA audio capture, so the result is aimed at screencasts where normal desktop recording may miss performance or timing details.
Use it from the terminal when you specifically need this older GLC-based workflow. It is not a general video editor, and recording may expose anything visible or audible in the captured application.
