Map tiles can be viewed offline after they have been cached, which helps with travel planning, field work or low-connectivity situations. It is useful when a simple map viewer is enough and online access is unreliable.
Offline maps may be outdated or incomplete. Do not rely on them as the only source for safety-critical navigation, and respect map provider terms when caching tiles.
