Bitcoin-aware accounting stays available in a smaller GnuCash build without OFX/QFX import or aqbanking support. It suits users who want local bookkeeping with cryptocurrency tracking but do not need those banking integration features.
It still handles sensitive financial records, so backups, exchange-rate checks, and tax review matter. The package tracks accounting data only; it is not a Bitcoin wallet or custody tool.
