Description

Robot behavior, sensors, worlds, and physics interactions can be tested in an open source simulation environment before using real hardware.

This version is useful when a robotics project expects the Gazebo Sim 7 generation. Simulation can save time and reduce hardware risk, but results still depend on model accuracy, physics settings, plugins, and the gap between simulated and real-world conditions.
