A C library for reading and writing Standard MIDI Files, the .mid files used to store musical notes, timing, channels, and controller events.
It is audio and music file infrastructure. Applications use it for MIDI import, export, analysis, or conversion, but sound output still depends on a synthesizer or playback engine.
