Audio applications can connect to visualization plugins through a shared abstraction layer.
This library is useful for media players and audio tools that want animated visual effects driven by sound without implementing each plugin format themselves. It does not play music or show visualizations alone; another application provides playback and display.
Visualizers can be CPU or GPU intensive and may react to microphone or playback data depending on the parent app.
