Chess players can connect a local external engine to Lichess from a desktop application.
This package is useful for people who use Lichess features that need a local engine bridge, such as analysis or engine-assisted workflows allowed by the platform. It is not the Lichess website itself and does not replace fair-play rules.
Engine use on chess platforms can violate rules if used during games. Follow Lichess policies, protect account credentials, and avoid using engines where they are not allowed.
