Description

Compression algorithms can be compared with repeatable in-memory benchmarks. It is useful for developers choosing a compressor, testing performance changes, or understanding speed and ratio tradeoffs.

Benchmarks can use significant CPU and memory while running. Results depend on hardware, input data, compiler options, and selected algorithms, so treat them as measurements for a specific environment.
