Description

Laboratory instruments and hardware interfaces can be controlled from Octave scripts through serial, I2C, TCP, GPIB, VXI11, USBTMC, and related I/O paths. This helps automate experiments and measurement setups.

It is an instrument-control extension. Hardware commands can change device state, so scripts should be tested safely before controlling real equipment.
