Description
PulseAudio signal levels can be watched in a simple GTK volume meter. It is useful for checking whether audio is playing, whether a microphone is active, or whether levels are clipping.
Meters show activity but do not prove the right source is selected. Check privacy-sensitive microphones before recording or streaming.
