Description

Phylogenetic trees can be built from DNA or protein sequences with maximum-likelihood methods. This command-line scientific tool is useful for evolutionary biology, comparative genomics, and bioinformatics teaching. It is run from a terminal with the phyml command. Results depend on alignments, substitution models, parameters, and statistical support, so outputs should be interpreted by someone familiar with the data.
