Description

Maximum-likelihood phylogenies can be computed with multiple processors using the MPI build of PhyML. This command-line scientific tool is useful for larger DNA or protein sequence analyses on workstations or clusters. It is run from a terminal or batch system with MPI around the phyml-mpi command. Resource limits, input validation, and reproducible parameters matter because parallel jobs can consume substantial compute time.
