Description
Pidgin can integrate with modern desktop tray and status-notifier areas through an AppIndicator/KStatusNotifierItem plugin. This helps users keep chat presence and notifications visible in panels that no longer use older tray APIs.
It is a desktop-integration plugin. It does not add a new chat service; it changes how Pidgin appears in the desktop shell or panel.
