HEALPix sky maps can be handled from Python through a minimal C++ interface. Cosmology and astronomy researchers use pyhealpix for spherical pixelization, sky maps, simulations, and coordinate workflows. Results depend on pixel ordering, resolution, and coordinate conventions.
