OpenStreetMap extracts in Protobuf format can be parsed into GeoDataFrames for analysis. GIS users use pyrosm for road networks, buildings, POIs, map studies, and spatial data pipelines. Location data can reveal sensitive infrastructure or selected areas of interest.
