Description
Keeps multiple terminal sessions available inside one terminal window and can leave them running after the user disconnects. It is useful on servers, SSH sessions, and long-running command-line work.
It is a terminal multiplexer, not a graphical desktop window manager. Programs left inside sessions may continue processing files or network tasks, so detach and reattach deliberately on shared systems.
