DKIM signatures in incoming Thunderbird messages can be checked against RFC 6376 rules. Mail users install the add-on to see whether a message was signed by an expected domain and whether the signature still verifies. DNS lookups, sender domains, message headers, and trust decisions can affect phishing analysis.
