Countdown alarms can be run from the upstream prebuilt Rust terminal binary. Terminal users install it for Pomodoro-style sessions, reminders, or simple timed waits without compiling from source. Audible alerts, terminal history, scripted waits, and automation behavior should match the environment where it runs. Upstream binary trust also matters.
