Audio and video files, discs, streams, and many media formats can be played with the development build of VLC. This is useful for users testing newer VLC changes or needing broad playback support.
The app opens local media and network streams, and git builds may be less stable than released VLC. Treat unknown media files and URLs as untrusted input.
